One Player To Watch From Every OWCS Pacific Team

With Overwatch Champions Series Asia kicking off this week, we'll be highlighting one player worth following for every team in the Pacific region (plus one honorable mention)!

RTFM

Kurumi, Damage

Kurumi is CRACKED, there’s no better way to put it. He’s the best pure hitscan in Pacific, and while he won't play every map, he will make opponents’ lives miserable on maps like Circuit Royal and Dorado, as he did during the Overwatch World Cup for Team Hong Kong.

Honorable Mention: JINSUNG, Support

DAF

Ace, Damage

A dependable player, Ace’s strength lies in his adaptability. He’s been a driving force behind DAF’s ascent. At this point, his competition lies not in Pacific, but in Korea and beyond. As DAF incorporates new players, Ace’s flexibility will become even more important.

Honorable Mention: CLEAR, Tank

Teenage Rising

Phewsofast, Tank

As the team’s name would suggest, Phewsofast is part of the next generation of Thai players following in DAF’s footsteps. Formerly a DPS player, he now plays Tank for Teenage Rising and led the team to 2nd place in the Flash Ops SEA qualifiers.

Honorable Mention: AnandaS, Support

Fade Altair

ShakeIt, Damage

Also known as HYE, ShakeIt has been finding progressively better and better results in Thai and APAC competitions. He has a frightening Sojourn and has played with this Fade roster for several tournaments. This synergy should give him an advantage over his competition.

Honorable Mention: MSCG, Support

Honeypot

Adam, Tank

Adam’s resiliency is admirable. After setbacks that would force some players into retirement, Adam has continued to dominate his region. Elite as ever on D.Va, Adam’s Ramattra has become one of his strong suits. If Adam continues the consistent, clutch plays he’s demonstrated for years, Honeypot should be a team to fear.

Honorable Mention: sgy, Damage

Personate Gang

Personate, Support

The team is named after him for a reason! Personate is the oldest player in OWCS Pacific (as far as we know). He played in Thai regional and collegiate tournaments in 2018 and 2019 and returned to Overwatch with the revival of the Pacific scene in 2022. Considering how valuable veteran leadership is in the Support role, will Personate be able to guide his Gang to success?

Honorable Mention: NDF, Tank

Far East Society

speed75, Damage

The best Indonesian Overwatch 2 player has a nasty Tracer and a sneaky-good Pharah. If speed75 can find success with Far East Society, it may provide a boost to professional Overwatch in a region with huge untapped potential. Is this speed75’s big debut?

Honorable Mention: Tomato, Tank

Wenzhou Ouyue

RAYMOMO, Support

A fun player with an equally fun name, RAYMOMO is a flexible and dependable support player who has been at the top of TW/HK/MO for several years now. With Team Taiwan pedigree, RAYMOMO will provide a steady presence in the backline for some of his less experienced teammates.

Honorable Mention: AV7, Damage

The Pacific region is chock-full of rising stars. Catch the action every Thursday at 10:00 AM GMT.
